George S. Schluessel CEO & President

For more than thirty years, George Schluessel has played a key role in the development of high-quality commercial and residential real estate across Western Canada. George’s visionary approach and attention to detail has placed him firmly as one of Alberta’s Top 50 Most Influential People.

George also sits on the Boards of Heritage Park and the Alberta Business Enterprise Group. Whether it is commercial or residential development, George’s belief that quality is timeless has provided ProCura with a strategy and portfolio of choice assets that will ensure that ProCura succeed well into the next generation.


Len Bower Chief Financial Officer

With several decades experience in high-end real estate and property development, Len Bower’s in-depth knowledge of building construction and financing has enabled ProCura to build properties that stand the test of time and truly stand out in their area.

"What brought me to ProCura in the first place and what excites me to be here today is the outstanding vision of the projects," says Len. "Seeing the results of our long-term business plan come together is very exciting."

Formerly the Vice President Controller of TrizecHahn Properties, Len is actively involved with all aspects of ProCura’s development process including pro forma preparation, business planning, and project monitoring. His insight to corporate financing through acquisitions and refinancing guides ProCura successfully from breaking ground on raw sites to closure on all Western Canadian properties.

In his free time Len enjoys spending time with his family at their recreational property in Sundre, Alberta.


Sherry Schluessel Sales and Marketing

With her extensive background in real estate sales, Sherry Schluessel is one of the driving forces behind ProCura’s success. Sherry’s proven track record and winning approach to ProCura’s sales and marketing strategy has delivered outstanding results in all market conditions

Sherry has extensive experience with real estate, sales and marketing and is a key figure in helping ProCura continue their ongoing success. Sherry’s impressive sales figures speak for themselves with over $75million in sales since 2009 alone.

Teresa Wenk Controller

With more than twenty years experience in commercial real estate accounting, Teresa Wenk oversees ProCura’s budgeting, financial reporting, and property accounting for all of our commercial and residential properties across Western Canada.

Prior to joining ProCura in 2002, Teresa held senior accounting positions with TrizecHahn Properties and Cadillac Fairview, aiding in significant revenue increases through strategic financial planning and operations.

Teresa has a very hands on approach to accounting and management, providing full training and participation for her team in all areas of operations. This includes reporting the ebbs and flows of business in their given portfolio, understanding lease documents, the drivers of revenue for the real estate business, and establishing a sense of ownership. By doing so her team are creating cost saving and revenue generating initiatives through their daily work, which in turn benefits the company as a whole.

In her spare time Teresa enjoys cooking, wine tasting and gardening and has a very strong interest in the arts.


Alim Kassam Director of Financial Services

With a solid foundation in commercial real estate banking, Alim has worked with Alberta’s largest land developers and successfully managed loan portfolios in excess of $600 million. With this wealth of knowledge, he now provides assistance to ProCura’s President in corporate financing, financial due diligence, and investment analysis for the firm’s private equity fund.

"I go that extra mile every day because the team does the same, from investors to suppliers, we always give our best because the end result is outstanding."

Alim holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He is Chartered Financial Analyst Level III. In his spare time Alim enjoys playing hockey and travelling.

 


Paul Gibson, B.A. Broker Edmonton Office

With a proven track record in the leasing and development of mixed-use, urban infill, and transit-oriented communities, Paul is an ideal fit for ProCura’s residential and commercial property base.

"I was drawn to ProCura by their innovative projects and ideas, and it is the quality of these projects that drives me forward."

Paul actively collaborates with various associations, including the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, the Urban Development Institute, the Building Owners and Manager’s Association, as well as the Edmonton Downtown Business Association. Paul is also a valuable member of the ProCura LEED team.

In his spare time Paul loves to spend time with his kids, enjoys cross-country skiing in the winter and in the summer months works on his Harley Davidson.


Jody Kundrik General Manager of Property Management

With more than twenty years experience in the Property Management Industry, Jody’s experience spans office, retail, industrial, and multi-family assets. And with portfolios in excess of one million square feet, she effectively manages ProCura’s day-to-day strategic objectives, from our customer service team to building operations and maintenance programs.

"Our drive towards sustainable developments that take into account both the environment and our communities makes us a very strong team in the industry."

Known for her integrity, dedication, and leadership, Jody is an Associate with the Real Estate Council of Alberta, a former director and now member with the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Education Committee, and a member with Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). Jody is also a valuable member of the ProCura LEED team.

In her spare time Jody loves gardening and landscaping, and is a keen golfer.


Andy Marjanski, Sc., Mech. Eng. CEM® CEA® Director Technical Services

With more than thirty years experience in operations management for high-profile Canadian and European companies, Andy brings a broad range of technical and analytical skills to ProCura. These include building centric and expert knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls systems, and energy management programs.

Andy has dealt with large volumes of complex and detailed workloads consistently meeting critical deadlines with quality results.

Prior to joining ProCura, Andy held technical and management positions with Westcorp Properties and Oxford Properties where he proactively managed annual Capitol Programs including Tenant Improvements and Energy Initiative projects.

Andy has been a part of The Association of Energy Engineers since 2002 and is also a valuable member of the ProCura LEED team. In his spare time he enjoys golfing and fishing.


Tegan Martin-Drysdale Client Coordinator & Project Manager

With proven project management experience that spans office, retail, industrial, and multi-family projects, Tegan played a significant role in the success of ProCura’s award-winning commercial property in Edmonton – the Intact Insurance Building. Since then, she has successfully managed and delivered new developments, renovations, and upgrades on key ProCura projects while working under tight timelines and budgets. Tegan is also a valuable member of the ProCura LEED team.

"ProCura has strong values and one of those values is environmental stewardship. You really have to look at the upcoming technology and the new standards that are being set by builders, not only across Canada but North America and the World, and ProCura really believes in being that leader in the industry."

Prior to joining ProCura, Tegan worked in Calgary as a Project Engineer for Read Jones Christoffersen where she played a key role in the growing cities’ skyline on buildings such as The Arriva Condominiums, Calgary Airport Expansion, Manchester Water Centre, and Emerald Stone Condominiums. Graduating from the University of Alberta with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Tegan currently holds a Professional Engineering and LEED® AP designation and is a member of The City of Edmonton’s NexGen Committee.

In 2010 Tegan was recognized as one of Avenue magazine’s ‘Top 40 Under 40’, an article which profiles persons who excel in their careers and raise the profile of Edmonton. Tegan also has a keen eye and is a very good photographer.
